Supply line

When the water leaves the valves, it must flow to the sprinklers, this is possible through a set of pipes known as supply lines. Commonly, these pipes for sprinkler systems are made of PVC, which is a plastic that lasts over time and prevents rust.

However, some older systems use metal tubes, with the disadvantage that they deteriorate and rust over the years. On the other hand, these supply lines are connected to each other by implementing some PVC materials or actions, adhering them to each other with a special glue.


In general terms, sprinkler systems usually have an electronic timer that is responsible for transmitting electrical signals to the valves. For their part, they can be installed both inside or outside the house, their programming is configured only by the user.

Timers allow the system to turn on at the predetermined time interval. In addition, they can be implemented in four, six, eight or twelve zones, where each zone is individually assigned to a valve that is connected to the timer.


Finally, the water that has flowed through the sprinkler system makes its exit through the sprinkler heads supplying the lawn. These are usually buried in the ground. For their operation they use the pressure of the water, protruding to the ground level, thus spraying the entire area.

The manufacture of this element is usually in metal or plastic, however, the latter are considered the most optimal for the waste-use industry. The design of these includes some sprinklers that protrude from the surface, others with rotator heads, and others with impact heads.
