Three 50-Foot Palms. One Day at the El Paso Zoo

On August 4, 2026, the Complete Lawn Care crew trimmed three palms at the El Paso Zoo. Each stood approximately 50 feet tall, making this a job that called for careful planning, specialized equipment, and a coordinated crew.


Preparing the site

The palms were located in the chimpanzee habitat. Before work began, the chimpanzees were relocated to another area. With the habitat clear, the crew could focus on the trimming and the conditions of the site.


Working at height

At roughly 50 feet, these palms required more than a routine ground-level trim. The crew used specialized equipment to reach and work on all three trees. The job was completed in approximately seven hours, during a day when temperatures reached 104°F.
